Ebara Builds High-Efficiency Low-Carbon Energy Station for Minzu University of China with its Professional, Efficient System Integration Technologies

Ebara, with its professional high-efficiency system integration technologies and rich EPC engineering experience, has carried out the general contracting construction of the high-efficiency energy station in Fengtai Campus of Minzu University of China. After a trial operation in the heating season, all data indicators of the energy station are higher than the expected design values, realizing the design goal of low-carbon, efficient, professional and intelligent energy station. The energy station will be officially handed over to the University Management soon.

Fengtai Campus of Minzu University of China covers an area of 1206 mu, with a total construction area of 377,300 square meters for the teaching area. Meanwhile, considering 220,000 square meters of public rental construction area to be built and 130,000 square meters of reserved development construction area, the total design heating area of the energy station is more than 600,000 square meters, and the cooling area is more than 300,000 square meters.

The energy station has a total building area of 2,200 square meters on the upper and lower floors. The station is designed with three systems: air conditioning water cooling and heating system, heating water system and sanitary hot water system. Three Ebara direct fired Lithium Bromide Chiller/heater units and gas-fired boilers are used as the main cooling and heating source, with a configuration of 30mg/m ³ ultra-low nitrogen burners, combined with the precise low-temperature and high-altitude emission measures in system engineering, makes the emissions meet the Emission Standard of Air Pollutants of Beijing DB11-2017.

The energy station is equipped with 12 Ebara cdw-550 open Cooling Towers, which are installed on the roof of the energy station machine room. These cooling towers, with the advantages of low operating noise, low water floating rate, sufficient heat exchange, good cooling effect, provide constant temperature cooling water for the direct fired cooling and heating water unit and ensures the efficient operation of the energy station.

Ebara completed the supply and installation of all equipment in the energy station after carrying out the secondary professional in-depth design of the energy station. The machine room adopts the centralized control of intelligent system to realize the intelligent control of the number of chillers and cooling towers, hot water temperature control, water pump frequency conversion control and other intelligent controls, and can adjust the operation strategy in real time according to the load changes.

The energy station adjusts the water flow, pump frequency and other parameters according to the indoor and outdoor temperature changes, further regulates the opening of the heat source valve to control the energy consumption, and regulates the actual heating or cooling capacity, so as to ensure the efficient and low-carbon operation of the system. The energy station intelligently regulates the opening mode of the main cooling and heating source according to the operating load, making the Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (SCOP) reaching 1.32, which is higher than the limit value of 1.11, and also higher than the specified value of "Energy Efficiency Design Standard for Public Buildings" (DB11/687-2015) of Beijing. It has achieved the goal of efficient and low-carbon operation of the energy station.

The selection of equipment in the energy station adheres to the concept of "Efficient, Stable, Low-Carbon & Energy-Saving", including high-efficiency direct fired LiBr Absorption Chillers, low noise and low drift cooling towers, ultra low nitrogen gas-hot water boilers, high-efficiency domestic hot water units, integrated pump units and Ebara advanced fully automatic water quality management units, intelligent analytical deoxygenation devices, fully automatic dosing devices, and fully automatic water softening devices, etc.. Ebara's system integration technology enables efficient and stable heating and cooling systems to be both low-carbon and energy efficient.
