The predecessor of Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is Shanghai Petrochemical Complex, which was founded in 1972. Now it is subordinate to Sinopec. It is one of the largest integrated oil refining and chemical enterprises in China, and also an important production base of refined oil, petrochemical products and new synthetic materials in China.

As one of the major industrial projects in Shanghai, the 48K large tow carbon fiber project of Shanghai Petrochemical has broken through the international technical blockade, used the independently developed PAN based carbon fiber technology to achieve "black gold" mass production, filled the gap of domestic high-end carbon fiber, and demonstrated the strength of made in China to the world. 48K large tow carbon fiber is known as the king of new materials. Its carbon content is more than 95%, accounting for less than a quarter of steel, and its strength is 7-9 times that of steel. It is widely used in aviation, aerospace and other high-tech fields.

Ebara has customized three large-scale first-class energy-efficient and high protection centrifugal chillers, pump sets and other auxiliary equipment for the 48K large tow carbon fiber project of Shanghai Petrochemical, with a total cooling capacity of 10020kw, which are mainly used for cooling the carbon fiber core device, the central control room and office area in the plant area, and fully meet the cooling needs of each process section. Ebara escorted the smooth production of carbon fiber and presented a gift for the 50th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Petrochemical.

Recently, 3 sets of centrifugal water chillers and auxiliary equipment have all arrived and been installed in place. Subsequently, we will cooperate with the customer for system joint commissioning. "Ebara" Centrifugal Chiller successfully served the high-end new material project of Shanghai Petrochemical, which fully reflected the industrial quality of "Ebara" manufacturing. Ebara served high-end customers at home and abroad by virtue of its deep technical heritage and strong customization ability, completely solved the difficult problem of selecting cold and hot equipment for petrochemical enterprises, helped the safe production of core devices in the petrochemical field, and escorted the rapid development of China's high-end manufacturing industry.
