Double effect absorption cooling cycle
A double effect absorption refrigerating machine consists of an vaporator, absorber, condenser, low stage generator, high stage generator, heat exchangers, pumps and auxiliaries.
The refrigerant, which cools the chilled water in the evaporator, is first vaporized, and the vapor is then absorbed into the liquid lithium bromide which is then weaked.
The weak lithium bromide solution is pumped into the high stage generator and the low stage generator. The temperature of lithium bromide solution is raised when passing through the low stage heat stage generator, the lithium bromide is strong concentrated by steam. Proceeding to the low stage generator the lithium bromide is medium concentrated by the refrigerant steam produced by the high stage generator. Both the concentrated lithium bromide is mixed before entering into the low stage generator and then it passes to the absorber through the low stage heat exchanger which the temperature is lowered. Refrigerant steam produced in the low stage generator will be condensed by Cooling Tower water. This condensed refrigerant liquid is then returned to the evaporator with the refrigerant which heats the lithium bromide in the low stage generator
